Activision has revealed a new teaser trailer for the next installment of the Call of Duty franchise. The new game will be the latest sequel to the Black Ops franchise by developer Treyarch. You can check out the teaser trailer video for Call of Duty: Black Ops III in the player below.
The video promises a “World Reveal” for the game coming later on April 26. The video does not have any actual gameplay footage. It has some audio soundbytes from cutscenes throughout the Black Ops series, and a logo reveal showing that it is the third Black Ops game. The official description asks, “How far are you willing to go?” The game will probably have a fall launch period going by some of the more recent Call of Duty releases.
The good news for Activision is that momentum is back on the publisher’s side after the release of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, which was developed by Sledgehammer Games. The game was a huge hit for franchise. Per VGChartz, the game has sold about 15 million copies, and it received overall strong to excellent reviews. More details on Call of Duty: Black Ops III will be released later.
