“365: Repeat the Year”, released in 2020, has 24 episodes, is categorized as Sci-Fi (Science Fiction), Fantasy, Time Travel, Thriller, and Suspense, and is streaming on Viki. It is based on the Japanese novel “Repeat”.
SUMMARY: Ten (10) people are given a chance to go back one year and live it over again. They embrace this chance because they think it will simply erase their trauma or tragedy. But if those events in their life get erased, what will replace it?
♦ Since I Have the Chance to Repeat the Year – Why Not?
In “365: Repeat the Year”, ten (10) people are given the chance to travel back in time by one year and reset their lives. But don’t we all know that if something sounds too good to be true, then ____________. Who knows what will go in the blank? There are probably many unforeseen things that could, might, or will happen. Even so, it’s hard to resist the offer.
The 3 main characters are:
-
Ji Hyung-joo, a veteran detective who wants to prevent his partner’s death.
-
Shin Ga-hyun, a webtoon artist who aims to undo an accident that left her in a wheelchair.
-
Lee Shin, a psychiatrist who has reset her life multiple times to save her daughter.
They are going to try to change their fates. It’s obvious they just want to erase “the bad” parts of their past. But suppose that change results in something “worse”? Suppose as they travel along their NEW life timelines, ______________. There is no way they could have predicted what would go in the blank. In the new timeline, there are a series of interconnected mysteries and unexpected challenges and … ??? Ten people were given the chance. What about the other seven (7)?
Main Characters:
- Ji Hyung-Joo (played by Lee Joon-Hyuk, “Vigilante”, “Stranger 1 and 2”)
- Shin Ga-Hyun (played by Nam Ji-Hyun, “Suspicious Partner”)
- Lee Shin (played by Kim Ji-Soo, “Romance in the House”)
Viewership and Rating:
- IMDb: 7.9 out of 10 stars

- Viki viewers rated this series 9.3 out of 10 stars
My personal rating is the same as the Viki viewing audience.
“365: Repeat the Year” is interesting. Life is never simple. It would be so awesome if you could reset and correct mistakes, erase tragedies, etc. But there is always that “unknown” element. If I “fix” the past, will it make the future better? Uuggg … I don’t know! It’s like the genie granting you three (3) wishes but not telling you that when you get what you wished for, you’ll wish that you didn’t wish for it!
