WWE2k22 redesigned it’s engine,roster and gameplay

WWE2k22 released its pre-order launch trailer and it revealed the initial wrestlers who made the roster. NXT call-ups will finally make their debut as playable characters. Returning wrestlers will be in their current incarnation. The cancellation of WWE 2k21 because of the Pandemic gave this game a lot of improvements compared to the glitchy prequel. The graphics are more realistic but the roster might be smaller because of the mass releases of wrestlers due to Nick Khan’s controversial budget cuts. Rey Mysterio will be the art cover model of this year’s game with his son Dominic making his playable debut. This could be a clue for an upcoming push this year.

John Cena Might be too busy doing Peacemaker right now but if you miss him doing the 5 moves of doom, This game can deliver.

The released wrestlers who are not the hall of Famers are gone from the roster. Legends are making a return as usual. The Pre-order Bonus is 4 different incarnations of the Undertaker.

Toni Storm was originally going to be in this game but after she asked for her release. I am sure the Creator community can compensate with CAW creations of the released wrestlers. With that fans can still play as them.

77 superstars are confirmed to be playable by far. There is a possibility that some names from NXT UK might make it. Fans of women’s wrestling may see a smaller roster this year due to the release but it is still better compared to WWE 2k12 where the playable females are like  8. Back in the day, most women in the roster of female superstar fans are community creations.

The New engine  is an improvement compared to the mess 2k20 had a pandemic ago. WWE is stepping up with the threat of an AEW game lurking around.
