Hikaru Shida

AEW released a trailer of their First videogame

WWE is currently in panic when they end up having a new competition with AEW. Unlike previous competitions like Ring of Honor and Impact Wrestling.WWE 2k20 received criticisms for glitches and bugs. AEW has the funding and backing of Billionaire Tony Khan, So it is a threat to WWE. WWE lost some of their big stars like Jon Moxley FKA Dean Ambrose to this new company. They are currently beating NXT on TV ratings. WWE is still better in some aspects because their Women’s division is more well-received than AEW’s, and their main event scene has more recognizable names at this moment. AEW still needs some improvement, but they had proven they can compete with WWE. AEW wrestlers are happier with their lighter schedule, and they are still allowed to earn with 3rd party opportunities like Twitch and Cameo. WWE is currently controversial for firing the wrestler Zelina Vega for refusing to close down her Twitch Channel. The only way Wrestling can play as AEW wrestlers is to either play an old WWE 2k title where they still work for WWE or Download them as “Create a Wrestler community creations”.

The trailer shows the BETA version of their game. It shows Kenny Omega defeating Chris Jericho. Then he will lose the AEW women’s champion Hikaru Shida. WWE 2k videogames doesn’t allow intergender matches. WWE’s Deal with Toy company Mattel disallowed them to have Man on woman violence. That restriction won’t be on the upcoming AEW video game. There are no announcement of the roster yet except from the three stars who appeared on the trailer. The game will be using AKI Engine. AKI is company that worked on the N64 WWE game no Mercy. By Paper, this game is going to be No Mercy but with Next gen graphics.
