Will Mark Hamill Return to Voice Joker For Batman: The Killing Joke?
Every one has a favorite portrayal of a certain character. Whether its how it was written, how it was acted, or how it was voiced, everyone knows exactly who they think about when it applies to a certain character. When it comes to The Joker, one of the most famous villains of all time, many think of Mark Hamill, and not Jack Nicholson or Heath Ledger. This is not too surprising as Hamill did voice The Joker for the entirety of Batman: The Animated Series, his appearances in Justice League, and numerous one-shot Batman movies for over two decades. In addition, he voiced Joker in Rocksteady’s three Batman: Arkham video games.
At San Diego Comic Con, it was revealed that arguably one of the greatest Batman stories ever, The Killing Joke, was going to be getting an animated feature, and many wondered if Hamill would return one more time to do it. According to Collider, it is going to happen, as their sources are confirming this to be true. Now, who will voice Batman in this is still up for debate, but if Hamill is coming back, it may not be too far of a stretch to get his former co-star Kevin Conroy (who voiced Batman in those cartoons and games as well) to join him and make this a truly special event.
Batman: The Killing Joke is set to release sometime next year.
