Web Series LOST/FOUND Seeks Kickstarter Funding
Outjogging Pictures and Rachel Hoiles Farrell present LOST/FOUND: a new web series full of dark comedy and creepy twists. They are now seeking funding on Kickstarter.
LOST/FOUND is an anthology series with a simple premise: something lost is found by someone else. The first “lost” item in the series is quite heavy, both literally and figuratively: an iron lung, with a dead body inside! How does it get lost? Tornado. How does it get found? By the man whose backyard it crash-landed into.
It’s not even his house — he rented it as inspiration to finish the novel he’s working on. The dwelling itself is a bit creepy, full of old dolls, and this new discovery makes it worse. Now he has to keep the body safe from animal scavengers while attempting (and failing) to hold onto his own sanity.
Each episode of LOST/FOUND will be four to seven minutes long, and each season will be eight episodes in length, for a runtime of about 45 minutes per story. As for future seasons, Outjogging says “Season 2 centers around a lost dog and the highly unusual wishes of a dying stranger. Season 3 follows a youth minister possessed by the wandering spirit of a notorious murderer that evaded capture in the 1980s.”
There are many tiers in the LOST/FOUND Kickstarter, but the lowest one with material goods doesn’t include the series itself. To get early access to the digital version of Season One, you need a $25 pledge. This will also include the items from the tiers before it (a postcard with art from the series, and a digital copy of the script). Doubling your pledge to $50 means you get an audio commentary for each episode and your name in the credits.
If all goes well, the first season of LOST/FOUND should be released in May of 2011.
