WB Pictures shows more of the DCEU, Harry Potter, and Godzilla at Comic Con San Diego

Like death and taxes, trailers at San Diego Comic Con is inevitable. WB Pictures didn’t disappoint at their panel by showing four trailers for four highly anticipated films. However they have a lot of work to do to win back DC fans after the streak of mixed DCEU films.

Shazam

It seems with how dark the DCEU has been from the start, this film is a breath of fresh air to see as it is looking to be a fun superhero film. The trailer starts out your usual DCEU film. However, unlike past films in the DCEU, it does a 180 halfway as it turns into a more comedic route in the style of the first Iron Man or Kick-Ass. The film is set to release in Spring of next year. Check out the trailer below.

Godzilla King of The Monsters

While the first film divided many fans, the second film will hopefully redeem the American Godzilla. Godzilla King of Monsters is set to be an all out brawl of monsters. So far the ones that will be in the film is Rodan, Mothra, and King Ghidorah. Others that are rumored seems to be Jet Jaguar and Destoroyah. Though Destoroyah was teased last year by director Michael Dougherty. Although we will know for sure when the film hits May 21st 2019. Check out the trailer below.

Aquaman

Another DCEU film got a trailer at the panel as well. From the trailer the film is about his origins and how he became king of Atlantis. In the film he will fight Ocean Master and Black Manta. The trailer mixes both serious and light hearted fun. However it has to do much more to win over those who lost faith in the expanded universe. Aquaman is set to release December 21st 2018. Check out the trailer below.

Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them: The Crimes of Grindelwald

With Harry Potter celebrating twenty years of magic, it’s fitting we get the second film in the prequel trilogy. Fantastic Beasts 2 is set shortly after the first film as Grindelwald escapes and keeps his word from the first film. Now it’s a race against time to stop him. The film is set to release November 16th 2018. Check out the trailer below.
