Today is the day! If you have the preorder ticket, you can start playing the closed beta for Warhammer: Chaosbane for an entire week. The servers will shut down March 13 at 1 AM Pacific, but until then, here’s what you can play through…
Content available in the first beta phase:
- Playable campaign: Act 1 – The sewers of Nuln, infested by Nurgle demons
- 2 available classes: the Imperial soldier and the High-Elf mage
- Maximum level cap: 20
- Local and online co-op with up to 4 players
If you don’t have a beta code, you can at least experience thirty seconds of Warhammer: Chaosbane by watching the new beta launch trailer. Here are some of the environments you’re missing. If you’re feeling regretful, it’s not too late to get into the beta — and there will be another one in April.
Those who don’t feel like preordering can get the finished game when it launches June 4. Possessors of the Digital Deluxe or Magnus Editions of Warhammer: Chaosbane will be able to play four days earlier, on May 30.
The first hack and slash to take place in the Warhammer Fantasy Battles world, Warhammer: Chaosbane plunges the player into the heart of the Old World, a continent marked by the Great War Against Chaos, a bloody conflict which ravaged the Empire of men. They will embody a human, a high elf, a wood elf, or a dwarf, and discover the iconic locations of the Warhammer Fantasy Battles universe that’s captured the imaginations of millions of fans across the world.
