Virtual Reality In No Man's Sky Would Be "Good Fit"
No Man’s Sky is easily one of the biggest and most ambitious games ever conceived, almost to the extent that it would be impossible for it to get any bigger in some ways. Yet, there is one that people are asking for, for No Man’s Sky to get VR support.
In an interview IGN, Hello Games Founder Sean Murray noted that this could happen, and that it would be a good fit for the game.
“I think VR in general is incredibly exciting,” Murray said on the latest episode of IGN Unfiltered, which airs tomorrow. “I would say I’m a believer. I have this optimism about it. I really hope everyone gets it right.”
He goes on to note how big a supporter he is of Virtual Reality in games:
“I have definitely decided that I’m going to own a VR headset and I’m going to show my friends… and I’m going to try and convince them to buy one,” he said, adding that he hopes “it finds that killer app” so that “everyone ends up needing one” and the technology “doesn’t become novelty or gimmicky.”
Finally, Murray noted a possible way VR support could be in No Man’s Sky.
“If it was No Man’s Sky—if such a thing existed—being able to find a planet if you really loved and then be able to see it in [VR]. I think something like that would be incredibly cool.”
