It’s been a long while since North Americans have seen a Virtua Fighter release however that looks to be changing in 2012.

Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown won’t be a full retail release but, rather a downloadable title based on the 2010 arcade version. The game will be completely overhauled adding new costumes and dynamic arenas with 19 playable characters.
Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown will be available Summer 2012 on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade.
