Uncharted 4: First Multiplayer Campaign Footage Debuts

This week, Sony PlayStation Computer Entertainment and Naughty Dog finally released details and footage for the multiplayer campaign for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. You can check out the first gameplay video released for the game’s multiplayer mode, released at the Paris Games Week 2015 Sony Media Briefing, below.

It seems the multiplayer mode is getting quite the overhaul for Uncharted 4. Per the PlayStation blog, multiplayer will include new elements like Sidekicks, Mysticals and of course, the grappling hook. Players can actually use the grappling hook for their attacks and to swing down upon on enemies unawares. For Sidekicks, it looks you can play in more of a support role for the group or bring in support characters. Mysticals adds some special powers players can use in the competitive matches. Like you can throw an artifact into the multiplayer map that summons a powerful idol that will kill all the enemies in the vicinity.

Based on the video, it looks like the multiplayer cast will feature a nice selection from across the franchise, including longtime favorites such as Nate, Sully, Elena and other characters like Chloe and Cutter.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End arrives on March 18, 2016. The game will be available exclusively for PlayStation 4.
