This Friday, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers will be hitting the big screen for the first time in a long time. The movie is a modern remake of the original series that started the phenomenon, with updates on the characters, the villains, and what not. To honor that, Twitch is going to be streaming the entire Power Rangers series from Mighty Morphin to Ninja Steel.
This means that 23 seasons of the show will be aired on Twitch, comprising of 831 episodes across 23 legendary seasons. That’s an impressive amount of content, and will require true dedication to watch them al. After all, it’d take 17 days to do so.
“Guided by feedback from our community, Twitch has been focusing on content beyond gaming that nurtures the culture around their interests,” Twitch product marketing director Annie Berrones said. “As an iconic sci-fi, superhero franchise that achieved legacy status over the past two decades, Power Rangers fits right into our community’s wheelhouse.”
There’s a lot of curiosity over how well the new film will do. After all, it’s a more modern take, which may not impress the diehard fans, yet, it could surprise people, and if it does well, more adaptations could be on the way.
