Sister Act 3 will finally happen!

I will follow him is originally a song of Teen singer Peggy March. It is about a girl who loves her boyfriend so much that she will always follow him.

In Sister Act, it became a catchy gospel song and it’s very timeless. This version is part of the childhood of many 90s kids.

The movie also have a sequel that launched the careers of Lauryn Hill and Jennifer love Hewitt.

Sister act is one of the most classic comedy musicals in the 90s. The music if this movie is so infectious that even some atheist loves the film. For decades fans had been wanting a third sequel. This film is so popular that a broadway musical happened, unlike the movie where they use 1960s songs, the musical has original songs of its own. Sister Mary Robert who is a fan favorite on the film have her own song in the musical.

Fans had been clamoring for a 3rd sequel but it never happened. There was a time when Whoopi Goldberg was offered to make the 3rd movie but her heart is not into it back then. Then there was a time when Whoopie finally has an idea for a 3rd movie and she made a pitch to Disney but Disney declined because they want to remake the movie instead. I think Disney wanted to adapt the Broadway musical version or remake the first film instead. With The help of Tyler Perry of the Madea franchise fame, Sister act 3 will finally happen. Fans hope that many favorites from the past films will reprise their roles. It will be interesting to see what Deloris Van Cartier had been up to these days. Is she still a singer in Las Vegas or did she become a nun for real?
