This spring Sega will be republishing its Genesis library, and though it’s done that plenty of times, this newly announced release promises to contain the largest amount of titles any Genny compilation has included to date. ToeJam and Earl are in the lineup for the first time, along with others. Over 50 games in all!
My first thought upon seeing it was “This will be great on Switch.” Then I found out a Switch release wasn’t planned, so my second thought was “What’s the point?” Most of us likely already own console versions of these, whether as part of compilations on other systems or in their original cartridge formats. Fifty-plus Genesis classics on one Switch card is the most desirable way to go. Fix this error, Sega.
The US version of the trailer has not been uploaded yet, but the European “Mega Drive” version has. So have a look; we should be getting the same thing with a different brand name:
