Although a new Splinter Cell game might not be on the horizon, fans of the show can get their Sam Fisher fix in Ghost Recon: Wildlands. Ubisoft has revealed that the Fourth Echelon operative is coming to the game in a rather substantial crossover.
As part of Special Operation I, the first free piece of downloadable content that is coming to the title over the next few months, will bring across a range of new missions and items. The main draw is a new PvE level that sees the Ghost team having to assist Sam Fisher infiltrate an enemy base.
It’s interesting to note that Michael Ironside will once again be voicing Fisher. The mission is stealth based, as you might have expected, and is said by the developer to be much more difficult than many of the missions in the title.
In addition to the extra campaign, Special Operation I will introduce a series of weapons and gadgets across different classes. The DLC is set to launch on April 10 with a free week of the game available from April 12 until April 15 across the PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One platforms.
