Russo Brothers Could Continue Making Marvel Films
One of the interesting aspects about the Marvel Cinematic Universe is the wealth of directors that have come to make films. Jon Favreau, Shane Black, James Gunn, and of course, the Russo Brothers. All have made a mark in the universe, as have many, many others. But right now, all eyes are on the Russo Brothers because they’re the two who are helping the next two Avengers films Infinity War and Avengers 4. But, what’s the future for them hold beyond that?
In an interview during the Happy Sad Confused Podcast, they revealed their pretty focused on right now:
“Our relationship with Marvel has been one of the strongest creative relationships we’ve had in our careers. We’re really proud of the movies that we’ve been able to make with them and we’ve had an amazing time doing it,” Anthony Russo said. “We haven’t talked about doing anything beyond these movies simply because we still have a mountain to climb with these two films.”
That said, the Russo Brothers are open to more future films with Marvel:
“The one thing we’ve always really admired about Kevin Feige and Marvel is they have a very, even though they’re building an interconnected narrative through many, many films over many years, they have a very disciplined one movie at a time attitude, as well, which I think is very very helpful to the creative process of fashioning the individual film,” he continued. “So we’re basically really focused on what we’re doing now, but we would certainly be open to working with them.”
