The lead behind games Ico and Shadow of Colossus appears to be leaving Sony according to a rumor given to Eurogamer by it’s Japanese video game development sources.
According to the rumor Fumito Ueda will be departing the company to explore his own personal projects. Hopefuls to play Last Guardian on PlayStation can relax, Fumito-san will be completing the game as a freelancer. Sony has been contacted for response but as yet none has been forthcoming,
Does this mean that Fumito Ueda’s wonderful games can now reach an even greater audience? One can only hope.
