Riverbond Is Coming To Playstation 4
Cococucumber is an indie game studio loated in Toronto that’s dedicated to creating “original games with a striking visual style.” Few upcoming games look quite like Riverbond, an action adventure game rendered entirely in the voxel style — think boxes. Lots of boxes.
Minecraft is what comes to mind when you see the screenshots, but the gameplay has more in common with Zelda. Your goal is to save the citizens of the city of Riverbond from the monsters now roaming freely. To do this you’ll have to explore both above and below ground, gather hidden items and weapons, and fine-tune your abilities.
Now Riverbond is coming to Playstation 4. “Riverbond will be a standout action-adventure game for [the PS4],” declares Vanessa Chia, Co-founder and Art Director at Cococucumber. “This is a family-friendly game for players of all ages, so make a date with your friends or kids and play Riverbond in couch co-op mode for chaotic and fun times.”
When can you expect this blocky adventure to arrive on your rhombus-shaped console? Early in 2018, but if you want to sample it early (and you live in Anaheim), a demo of Riverbond will be playable at the PlayStation Experience event this December. If you don’t own a PS4, the game will also be coming to PC.
