Powerwash Simulator Meets Wallace And Gromit

Since its release, Square Enix’s surprise hit Powerwash Simulator has crossed over into many worlds. At first they stuck to places within the Square umbrella, like Midgar from Final Fantasy 7 and Lara’s mansion from Tomb Raider (this was when Square still owned Tomb Raider). But eventually some DLC packs appeared that took some license wrangling: the team of full-body-suited cleaners has tackled Bikini Bottom from Spongebob Squarepants, Shrek’s swamp, and Hill Valley from Back to the Future.

Now it’s time for the most challenging and unexpected job of their careers….power-washing West Wallaby Street and the world of Wallace and Gromit. We don’t know what their last adventure involved, we just know it resulted in both the exterior and interior of W&G’s entire house being covered in pitch-black mud. But Wallace has a helpful new invention he’s been tinkering with to make the job go “smoother”…..oh no, whatever you do, don’t turn on that thing! Too late. There goes the neighborhood. And yes, eventually the job will entail going to the moon.

“Enter the wonderful world of Wallace & Gromit in PowerWash Simulator’s next big adventure – coming soon!” says Square’s description. “Fire up WASH LAD, Wallace’s latest quirky contraption, and commence the most cracking of clean-ups. The patent may be pending but Project Scrub Down can’t wait!”

Also, if you haven’t seen Vengeance Most Fowl, the new feature film that most likely motivated this team-up to happen, get on Netflix and fix that. That movie’s better than cheese.

Square hasn’t assigned a date to when the Wallace and Gromit DLC could be made available, but they promise the day will be soon.

I love this! Powerwash Simulator has already been a great way to blow off some steam, and adding Wallace & Gromit to the mix? Pure gold. Their world is so quirky and fun, and I can’t wait to scrub down West Wallaby Street. Wallace’s inventions are always chaotic, so I can just imagine the mess this time. The fact that they’re going to the moon? That’s wild! Honestly, Powerwash Simulator has nailed these crossovers, from Final Fantasy to SpongeBob, and now this. I’m all in. It’s so random and charming, I’m excited to fire up that WASH LAD. And honestly, Vengeance Most Fowl was a great movie; it’s a shame it didn’t get more buzz. This DLC will definitely be a must-have for fans of both games and the show.

This sounds like an odd collaboration, but I guess that's what Powerwash Simulator is known for at this point—unexpected crossovers. Wallace & Gromit are a beloved duo, but I’m not sure how their world fits with a game about cleaning. I mean, the humor is there, but it seems like a weird direction for the game. Powerwash Simulator started with relatively neutral settings, but going to the moon and dealing with inventions feels more like they’re jumping the shark. Still, it’s probably fun for those who love these kinds of mash-ups. As long as the mechanics stay strong and the DLC isn’t just a gimmick, I might give it a try. Still, I don’t expect much from it.

I’ve been a massive fan of Wallace & Gromit since forever, and the idea of entering their world in a game like Powerwash Simulator is wild. The thought of cleaning their iconic house is a perfect way to immerse myself in their quirky universe. Plus, with Wallace’s inventions always causing chaos, there’s no doubt this DLC will bring some hilarious moments. I honestly hope they incorporate some classic Wallace & Gromit humor into the tasks. If it has the same charm and wit as the movies, I’ll be sold. I’m already excited to fire up that WASH LAD. And seriously, if you haven’t seen Vengeance Most Fowl yet, it’s definitely worth the watch.
