Play The BUGS MUST DIE Demo
Dragonglass Games Workshop, a Shanghai-based indie game studio, are currently working on their first indie title, Bugs Must Die. It’s a top-down shooter where players utilize armored vehicles to battle a massive wave of alien bugs. It has no current release date, but a demo for the game was released today.
As an elite from the Galactic Pests Control Company, players are sent to the planet M-79 to prevent Mantis Beings from invading Earth. On the terrestrial planet, players not only have to destroy the cruel Mantis soldiers but also battle with the various Bosses cloned from Earth pop culture. In Bugs Must Die, players can control a heavy armored vehicle equipped with multiple weapons to gallop on the battlefield. They can also use Mantis Agents who have completely different fixed-weapon systems shooting and dodging through a Bullet-hell. There are RPG elements as well. Players are able to upgrade their character, vehicles, and/or weapons to take down the bugs with ease.
“Bugs Must Die is mainly inspired by Jackal, the classic arcade/NES game published by Konami,” says ZHU Ping, the founder of Dragonglass Games Workshop. “But it’s not only a 2018 version of Jackal but also offers classic arcade gameplay that mixes elements from Jackal, Crimsonland, Ikari Warriors and rogue-like maps. We expect players will enjoy the fun and challenge of Hack’n Slash and Run’n Gun gameplay by playing with different characters and different weapons in Bugs Must Die. ”
