Outpost Coming to Theaters And VOD May 19
Anyone remember Joe Lo Truglio from Brooklyn Nine-Nine? He played…..um….I don’t recall exactly, but it was the guy who tripped and fell in the opening credits. So he wasn’t the star attraction, but he’s also human like everyone else, and has other talents than just what we saw on the show. He just wrote and directed his own feature film, Outpost.
Outpost stars Beth Dover (“Orange is the New Black”) as a woman looking for any way to escape the reach of her terrifying ex. She thinks she’s found it when she hears about an opening for a job in the remote mountains of Idaho. They need a firewatch for a tower, and she figures “how could anyone possibly reach me up there?” The press release doesn’t reveal if her ex finds her in that tower, but it does suggest the job is not the cakewalk the woman thought it’d be.
In addition to Dover, Outpost stars Ato Essandoh (“Chicago MED”), Dylan Baker (‘Spider-Man’ trilogy), Becky Ann Baker (“Freaks and Geeks”), Dallas Roberts (Glass Onion), Ta’Rea Campbell, Tim Neff and D.R. Anderson. Gravitas Ventures will be distributing the film in select theaters and on-demand starting May 19.
After a violent assault, a woman asks her best friend for help escaping an abusive ex. She’s given a job as a fire lookout in the mountains of northern Idaho, hoping the peaceful solitude will heal her trauma. But the PTSD and isolation have other plans, and it’s suddenly a fight to save herself and the town.
