After a pandemic-sized release on Steam, Outbreak: The Nightmare Chronicles is ready to infect the XBox. Created by Drop Dead Studios, Nightmare Chronicles is the third release in the Outbreak series. It’s a third-person title reminiscent of the original Resident Evil, set in a shadowy old mansion full of monsters.
Outbreak: The Nightmare Chronicles is an episodic unforgiving survival horror experience that takes place within the Outbreak universe. Death lurks behind each door as you fight to survive with the limited supplies at your disposal. Search rooms thoroughly and make the right choice when to fight – or flee – from the monstrosities. Featuring classic hardcore survival horror gameplay in a directed single-player experience, you’ll need to stay on your toes to stay alive.
On XBox One X, the game will be enhanced with 4K resolution. Of course, depending on your rig, you can have that on PC easily.
The game’s storyline is being released in chapters, on all platforms (including the XBox). You can buy them one at a time, or purchase the Season Pass (called Outbreak: The Nightmare Chronicles Complete Edition) and get the other chapters at a discount, as well as additional Battle Mode content. The other chapters are planned for release in 2018 and 2019.
The first chapter of Outbreak: The Nightmare Chronicles will be released for XBox One on May 2, for $4.99 (with a 10% discount on launch).
