Oni Press gets spookier than ever in these offerings set for release this October.
Who is THE MAN FROM MAYBE? Harvard Denny would like to know: he was once a billionaire, before society collapsed due to the atomic explosions. Also, Denny might have had something to do with the atomic explosions. But now he’s chasing the rumor of a crashed alien ship somewhere in the wasteland. but THE MAN FROM MAYBE is determined to get there first. The first of three issues will be released October 18, with art by Shaky Kane.
We didn’t hear of any calamity when TV animation veteran Jay Stephens entered the comics market with the decidedly child-unfriendly horror anthology DWELLINGS. The book’s covers perfectly recreate the Harvey Comics house style of old, but the innards are dark and twisted. So far, no kid has accidentally picked it up (that we know of). The second issue will be out October 18 and contain the chillers “Quiet, Suki” and “Sound Mind.”
Rick and Morty will be given plenty to do in October. Not only does the tenth issue of their latest regular series release then, so do a lot of others…like FRICKY FRIDAY, a new miniseries centered around a sinister plot to body-swap members of the Smith family across the multiverse. But who’s doing this and what’s their goal? Only the first issue holds the secrets…or possibly the second. FRICKY FRIDAY #1 comes out October 11, followed by the final volume of the Coppola-chasing HEART OF RICKNESS on October 18. And if that’s not enough to fill you up, the immense RICK AND MORTY COMPENDIUM VOL. 1 comes out October 11 — the first omnibus for the regular series with over 300 pages of content!
