NYCC: Marvel “Building Bridges” With Fox
Marvel has been making superhero movies since the 90’s, however, Marvel Studios has only been around less than a decade. Because of this, Marvel does not own the movie rights to many of their characters, including Spider-Man, who they had to work out a deal with Sony to get him in Civil War, the Fantastic Four, and of course, the X-Men.
This has left quite a hole in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and many have wondered how long Fox, who owns the X-Men and Fantastic Four, will remain separated from them.
Well, via NYCC, and confirmed by a Tweet from Blastr, things may be heading towards a merging.
“Jeph Loeb acknowledges that bridges are being made between the Fox and Disney world’s of Marvel’s @LegionFX- DR”
Legion is the start, with Fox and Marvel working to make it a success. If it does work, this could lead to more project being done between the two, and could indeed lead to the two movie universes merging somehow.
Time will tell if it works.

Fox doesn't own X-Men and Fantastic Four. They simply have the license to the live-action film rights to those properties.
