NYCC 2017: Storm Comic Series Coming?
The X-Men were once considered “blacklisted” the Marvel Comics universe because of the movie feud with Fox. But, in recent years the characters have been slowly making a big return to prominence, and at New York Comic Con, it appears as though that’s not going to stop, in fact, it’s going from a drizzle of titles…to a Storm.
Earlier, a Rogue & Gambit miniseries was revealed, then a Legion comic. And today, at a special X-Men panel, Editor-In-Chief Alex Alonso revealed that a Storm comic was being talked about in Marvel, and they’re very serious about it:
“Yeah…Depends on our schedules, let’s put it that way…we have specific interest.”
“But it’s happening?” as fan asked
Alonso responded, “Yeah.”
Storm has been a fan-favorite since her arrival to the brand, and has been featured in the movies, cartoons, and beyond. A solo series would be in line with the recent growing of the X-Men line, but as to when she arrives in solo comic form is unknown.
