At New York Comic Con, a special DC Comics panel teased the release of the milestone 1000th issue of Action Comics, the very comic that helped birth Superman into the world. Naturally, the release will bring a lot of A-list talent as the stories within it. In fact, there will be several stories within this landmark issue.
The main story of the issue will be written by regular Action Comics writer Dan Jurgens and Superman writer Peter Tomasi. But, the issue will also have Doomsday Clock writer Geoff Johns and Superman: The Movie director Richard Donner contributing to the book itself.
As if that wasn’t enough, a special hardcover for Action #1000 will also be made, and it will feature special stories from the legendary history of Superman as well as essays about the character and a gallery section showing every single Action Comics cover.
Action Comics #1000 is set to arrive in March 2018.
