Nintendo Switch Features 6.2” 720p Touch Screen
It’s only been a week since the Nintendo Switch was first announced but more and more information is beginning to be revealed. The latest information leaked suggests that the tablet screen that makes up the portable section of the console will be a 6.2” 720p capacitive multi-touch affair.
The 6.2 inches is significantly larger than any other screen that Nintendo has ever produced, while the fact that it is capacitive and multi-touch is also a first. Previous iterations of their touch screens have been resistive, meaning that they require significant pressure and are less reliable. As is common with capacitive devices, the Switch supports 10-point multi-touch, so that several finger gestures can be used at once.
It’s likely we’ll get more information about the console in the coming months as we approach the March, 2017 release date.
