Nintendo Announces Release Date For Star Fox Zero and More

Nintendo has come out of nowhere today with a press release to unveil and confirm release dates for many of its big titles for both the Wii U and the 3DS later this year. Chief among these release dates is easily Star Fox Zero, which was officially unveiled at E3 this past year and given a “Holiday 2015” release date. Star Fox Zero has now been confirmed to be coming out on November 20th. This is surprising because usually a “Holiday” tag means December or January. In addition, Nintendo revealed the box art for the game, which you can see below.

Another surprise was the reveal that Devil’s Third will indeed be coming to the US (contrary to rumors that it wasn’t) and will arrive on December 11th. This is interesting as that’s just a week after Xenoblade Chronicles X arrives on Wii U. Adding to the fun for Wii U is the release of Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water, which launches on October 22. It will be a free-to-start game. Players will be able to check out the prologue, chapter 1, and most of chapter 2 for free.

As for the 3DS, two big titles got their release dates. Chibi-Robo! Zip Lash is coming October 9th, with a regular price ($30), and a combo pack with Amiibo for $40. And finally, Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon is coming out on November 20th.

Nintendo has shown just how strong its lineup is this holiday season. That’s not including some games that’ll arrive in September and October. Here the Star Fox Zero box art:
