NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. Interactive have released the latest trailer for Mortal Kombat X. The new game will focus on the next generation of Kombatants, including the children of classic Mortal Kombat characters. One of the new generation characters is Jacqueline “Jacqui” Briggs, the daughter of Jaxx Briggs. You can check out the Official Briggs Family Trailer in the player below.
The latest video finally shows some gameplay footage of the older Jaxx Briggs. It seems at some point he is resurrected and brought back to the side of good. I assume Jacqueline Briggs come along later at some point. In the recently released gameplay footage of the game’s Story Mode, it shows that Jaxx is still a brainwashed revenant in Quan Chi’s undead army at the start of the game. Jaxx seems to have definitely aged well. He now sports an American flag tied around one of his bionic arms and sports and sleeveless camo vest. Jacqui Briggs definitely looks like a chip off the old block, who seems to sport her own either bionic hands or some bionic gloves or gauntlets she wears to maul and rip her enemies apart.
Mortal Kombat X hits the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC on April 14. The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions will hit the shelves on June 30.
