My Little Pony: A New Generation release its trailer. It is a CGI film that is meant to introduce the franchise to the next generation. It is meant to start a new franchise but a cinematic one.  For decades, the MLP franchise had been marketed for little girls but  when the reboot,My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic was produced by  Lauren Faust, things changed. Faust is responsible for making The Powerpuff girls . Despite having an all female main cast, Friendship is Magic appealed to a large adult male audiences. These fans are called Bronies and they compete against little girls when it comes to buying merch.

 

 

Bronies became one of the most active fanbase in the history of the franchise. Celebrities like William Shatner, Chris Evans, Gabe Newell are some famous people confirmed to be Bronies. You can see Bronies in fan conventions and they are not ashamed for loving MLP.

My Little Pony: A New Generation knows how this franchise became appealing to all genders so this movie will have a co-ed main cast.

We will have some male lead ponies this time around. So little boys and the Bronies will have characters to resonate with.

This film is in CGI but it clearly has the art style of Friendship is Magic. One thing you will notice on the trailer is that there is now racism and discrimination between unicorns and Earth ponies. Sunny Starscout,(Vanessa Hudgens ) see everypony being scared of the unicorn Izzy Moonbow,(Kimiko Glenn) Also joining the cast are Liza Koshy, James Marsden ,Elizabeth Perkins and Ken Jeong.

She will befriend her and together they will try to find the reason why Unicorns lost their powers.

My Little Pony: A New Generation will premiere this September 24, only at Netflix.
