Hey Arnold Concert Tour Coming

To celebrate the show’s 30^th anniversary, Nickelodeon is giving us a Hey Arnold concert tour. They also already announced the tour dates for the event, which begins on October 26, 2026.

There are also rumors that the show will return. Keep reading to find out if the rumors are true and if the tour will come to a city near you.

Nickelodeon Giving Us A 30^th Anniversary Hey Arnold! Concert Tour

An animation soundtrack finally receiving the recognition it deserves. You’ve got to love it. And yes, it’s true. Nickelodeon is giving us a Hey Arnold! concert tour. They announced it earlier this month, on August 18, 2026, via Instagram, and at a reunion panel at MultiCon 2026, on August 8.

Series composer Jim Lang personally announced the tour alongside series creator Craig Bartlett.  He also described what fans could expect from this “The Music of Hey Arnold! Live Tour”.

For instance, fans will enjoy renditions of the show’s iconic theme song and other songs from across the franchise. And yes, that includes the show, which ran from 1996 to 2004, and its two spinoff movies from 2002 and 2017.

We’ll also get their backstories with all songs performed by Lang’s personal band, the PS118 All Stars. Moreover, Lang will lead the band himself, with multimedia visuals integrated throughout the performance. Additionally, Bartlett will be there to give new insights into the NickToon’s creation.

This concert tour will begin on October 26, 2026. However, it’ll only be a limited tour with just 20 dates:

Composer Jim Lang and the Hey Arnold! Soundtrack

I never watched Hey Arnold! myself, but the music certainly fits the term “iconic”. And that’s because the Hey Arnold! soundtrack didn’t fear going weird and offbeat, much like the show’s characters and storylines.

It also chose a jazzy sound, with acid jazz, funk, and hip-hop, making it stand out among its peers, which stuck to pop. Many fans claim the series introduced them to jazz, even though it wasn’t Lang’s intention.

Still, it’ll be interesting to see if the concert tour leads to a soundtrack re-release. The soundtrack is currently available on vinyl, which you can get from most vinyl record stores. But you can’t get the album digitally. So, a re-release might be in order to bring the soundtrack to a whole new generation.

A Possible Revival to Go with the Hey Arnold Concert Tour

 Now, as I have said above, the Hey Arnold concert tour announcement came from a crew reunion panel.  However, this special “30^th anniversary” charity panel at MultiCon gave us more than just the tour. For instance, they also discussed their plans for a Hey Arnold revival.

This bombshell came from Bartlett and series writer and producer Joe Purdy, who claimed that the revival was “absolutely happening”. However, they didn’t say anything beyond that, noting Hollywood’s “ever-changing environment”.

Still, that didn’t stop rumors about the Hey Arnold revival from spreading. Social media lit up like a Christmas tree, with everyone adding their own two cents, proving that interest in the series never waned.

Those rumors begot speculation, of course.

So, there’s ample talk about whether the revival will be a sequel to the original series or a reboot. However, Purdy’s comment suggests that the talks within Paramount lean towards a sequel. Moreover, he claimed that the characters would most likely be about two years older.

However, we can’t speculate beyond that, and that’s if there will be a new show. Purdy was so vague in his statement that the new series, if it is indeed happening, is still likely in the early stages of development.

As a result, we don’t even know if the series will be set in the 90s. Sure, Purdy said two years. But Paramount could easily insist that the characters be aged up to match the old, original audience.  

Bartlett Shots Down the Revival Series Rumors

We don’t even know if there will be a new series, given the ongoing Paramount and Warner Bros. merger. Such events rarely bode well for passion projects like the Hey Arnold revival. But even if that wasn’t the case, the discussions would still be a long, complicated, and drawn-out process.

And, all things considered, that seems to be the case.

That’s because Bartlett has since revised Purdy’s MultiCon statement. He noted that Purdy’s statement was “taken out of context” and that there were no talks with Paramount at the moment.  However, he did reassure fans that more Hey Arnold! stuff was on the way, the Hey Arnold concert tour being one of them.

Now, Bartlett didn’t say a new series wouldn’t happen. In fact, he said it’s something Nickelodeon actually wants. He also noted how much the original team was ready to get back to work and pick up the franchise where they left off.

All they need now is for Paramount to say “yes” to it. Luckily, the cast will reunite once again Extravacon in Melville, New York, on November 14 and 15, 2026. So, there’s still time for them to do so.

Final Thoughts

90s nostalgia is big right now. So, if there were a Hey Arnold revival, now would be the time to do it. However, the Hey Arnold concert tour is still a nice gift to fans. I wish there were more tour dates, though, as I’m nowhere near any of the locations.
