In “May I Help You”, Baek Dong-joo was once a PPPP, promising ping pong player. Then she suffered an injury and felt like someone had played a game of ping pong and swung the paddle in a direction that changed her life forever. What kind of jobs can a ping pong player do? She applied for a job working at a funeral home. She got the job! But she got something else that she wasn’t expecting. She was about to prepare a corpse when the deceased person tried to talk to her. She was so frightened she ran away. But that didn’t stop her from hearing the voice. It continued and continued until she ultimately decided to go back to work. She never expected that she had this “special power” to be able to see and hear the dead person’s last wishes. Since she could, if possible, she would carry out those wishes.
Kim Tae-hee is an errand boy working for a company called “A Dime a Job”. Basically, he runs errands for people and will do anything as long as it does not involve violence and breaking the law. Baek Dong-Joo had a boyfriend who wanted to break up with her but did not dare to tell her directly. So he hired Kim Tae-hee to deliver the break-up message. The first meeting between Baek Dong-Joo and Kim Tae-hee was very unpleasant. But little did they know they would continue to meet each other after that. Usually, the reason they kept running into each other was because he was performing an errand and coincidentally, she was carrying out the last wishes of the deceased. It almost looked like they were following each other around.

Various incidents like these kept occurring and they were constantly bumping into each other. Is it a coincidence? Or were they fated to be together?
My personal rating is 8 out of 10 stars.
Add this Amazon Original series to your K-drama binge-watch list. The main female character had a special power. Some people think such gifts are a curse. Some think they are a blessing. Either way, the person usually has no choice but to use the special power and make the best of it. I loved the way the dream catcherwas used to help her keep track of the deceased people she helped. Supposedly if she helped a certain number of people the “curse” or “blessing” would disappear and then she could live a normal life. That was a good way to hook the viewer.
I watched each episode counting down. How many more does she have to do? Not to mention the wishes of the dead were interesting. There was one episode where a pregnant woman got murdered. You would think she would ask for her murderer to be caught. But that wasn’t what she asked for. The various stories of the deceased kept me watching from episode to episode. The romance was worked into the storyline. But I would have watched with or without the romance subplot.
