“May I Help You” is an Amazon Original Korean drama series released in 2022, has 16 episodes, and can be categorized as Romance, Comedy, and Supernatural or Fantasy. ♦ I See and Hear Dead People In “May I Help You”, Baek Dong-joo was once a PPPP, promising ping pong player. Then she suffered an injury and felt like someone had played a game of ping pong and swung the paddle in a direction that changed her life forever. What kind of jobs can a ping pong player do? She applied for a job working at a funeral home. She got the job! But she got something else that she wasn’t expecting. She was about to prepare a corpse when the deceased person tried to talk to her. She was so frightened she ran away. But that didn’t stop her from hearing the voice. It continued and continued until she ultimately decided to go back to work. She never expected that she had this “special power” to be able to see

A funeral home worker who sees ghosts? Sounds a little too "been there, done that" for me. I appreciate the mix of genres (romance, comedy, supernatural), but the plot summary doesn't exactly scream originality. Maybe the execution is better than it sounds, but I'm not convinced just yet.

I'm excited about this new K-drama! The synopsis sounds really interesting, especially the "dream catcher" element and the idea of fulfilling wishes to break a curse or receive a blessing. It seems like there's something for everyone in this show, and I can't wait to watch it and see where it falls on the rating spectrum.

I don't think I'd be into a K-drama that mixes romance, comedy, and supernatural elements. I prefer K-dramas to stick to a specific genre. If the reviews were unanimously positive, I might consider watching it, but for now, I'll stick to my usual rom-coms and thrillers.

I finished watching this show in just two days. It's great for a weekend binge. The main character can see ghosts and works at a funeral home, which might not be the most unique idea. But the way they tell the story is amazing. They mix supernatural elements with humor and romance really well. I laughed a lot, but there were also touching moments. The stories about the ghosts were especially interesting. Each episode felt like a complete mini-movie, with a whole story for the deceased person's wish. The main actors, Lee Hye-ri and Lee Jun-young, are really good. Their chemistry is undeniable. The show is not perfect though. Sometimes the pacing felt a bit off, and the ending seemed rushed. But overall, it was a really enjoyable experience.

"May I Help You" may not be groundbreaking television, but it's a well-made K-drama that hits all the right notes. The fantasy premise is executed with surprising depth. Baek Dong-joo's struggle to cope with her ability to see and hear ghosts is relatable, even if the ghosts themselves are more comedic relief than genuine scares. The real strength of the show lies in its exploration of human connection: Both the living and the dead yearn to be heard, understood, and to have their wishes fulfilled. The episodic format allows for a variety of touching stories, from a son reuniting with his estranged father to a murdered woman's final message to her unborn child. It's a beautiful reminder of the power of empathy and the importance of cherishing the relationships we have in life. While the romance between the leads is sweet, it doesn't overshadow the emotional core of the show. If you're looking for a feel-good drama with a touch of the fantastical, "May I Help You" definitely delivers.

"May I Help You" is an interesting show with a good balance of humor, fantasy, and heartfelt human drama. It starts with a focus on humor and then shifts to the emotional weight of the deceased's wishes. The characters deal with grief, regret, and missed chances. The show bravely talks about tough subjects like loss and mortality, but does it with skill, leaving you with a feeling of bittersweet hope. The romantic part is sweet, but not as developed as the main idea. Overall, "May I Help You" surprised me with its emotional depth and thought-provoking themes.

This K-drama is the best ever! Lee Hye-ri is so sassy and funny as Baek Dong-joo, and Lee Jun-young is just amazing. The chemistry between them is off the charts. I know the whole "seeing dead people" thing sounds kinda dark, but trust me, it's mostly comedic gold. These ghosts are hilarious! Like, there's this one ghost who keeps showing up dressed in workout clothes, haunting the gym because he died before he could finally lose that stubborn belly fat. I was crying with laughter. The romance is super sweet too. The way their relationship develops as they help these ghosts with their unfinished business is adorable. Sure, the plot might not be the most groundbreaking, but who cares? It's pure entertainment! Prepare for lots of fluff moments and maybe a few happy tears.
