LexCorp Offers “Statement” About Events In BVS

With Batman V Superman still making a lot of money before the weekend even comes, it’s not surprising that WB/DC Comics are cranking out the viral campaign trail already to signal what might be coming next.

On the “official” LexCorp Instagram page, the company revealed it would be halting business transactions for the near future.

“Due to unfortunate circumstances, LexCorp Industries will be temporarily suspending its global operations.”

These “unfortunate” circumstances are obvious a reference to the climax of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, where he kidnapped Martha Kent, and released Doomsday onto the world, which resulted in the death of Superman.

“When interviewed about his actions against a fallen alien, Lex Luthor responded with; ‘Ding, ding, ding, ding. Are we entering the second round?'” the post continues, with the company attempting to distance itself from Luthor by adding: “We do not understand Mr. Luthor’s actions and LexCorp does not take responsibility for his actions. Thank you for being patient.”

Viral marketing was a big part of BVS before the movie came out, and with the other movies either in production or on the way, it would be surprising indeed to see it stop. Only question is, what are we going to see next?
