Legally Blonde TV Series in the works

“Legally Blonde” is one of Reese Witherspoon’s most iconic films. It serves as an inspiration to every college student, emphasizing that no one is unintelligent if they apply themselves diligently. In the first film, Elle Woods reigns as the queen bee of her sorority, enjoying immense popularity. Excelling in fashion, she hails from a family of celebrities, and her boyfriend comes from a political dynasty. However, when her boyfriend dumps her for being too blonde and seeks a more sophisticated partner to support his political ambitions, Elle decides to pursue him to Harvard. Her goal is to prove to him that she possesses the qualities he seeks. Despite being initially underestimated due to her appearance, Elle discovers her true intelligence through hard work and determination. Rather than chasing after someone who rejects her, she realizes her self-worth and pursues a genuine interest in law at Harvard. Notably, the film subverts stereotypes by depicting the cheerleader as the victim of bullying by the nerds.

As for the box office earnings of “Legally Blonde,” the film was released in 2001 and was a commercial success.

It grossed over $141 million worldwide, solidifying its status as a beloved classic and spawning a successful franchise with sequels, a stage musical adaptation, and a television series. There is also a sequel, Legally Blonde 2: Red, White and Blonde that made $125.9 million in the box office. This film franchise  had  spawned  different spin offs.

There  was successful was a successful back in 2007 and MTV even made a reality tv on casting it’s lead star.

Some of the Spin off though are failures like this  Straight to DVD movie about Elle Wood’s British Twin Cousins who wants to follow her footsteps. Critics destroyed this movie.

Back in mid 2003 there was a Tv remake Pilot starring Jennifer Hall was made but no TV network picked it up. You can watch this failed Pilot here:

A Legally Blonde 3 is in development where Reese Witherspoon reprises the role. Not much is heard about it. Now Amazon and Reese Witherspoon are working with the people behind Gossip Girl. There are no details  yet if this is a remake or spin off.  Is Reese going reprise her Iconic role or are we going to focus on a different character on the same universe? Base from what happened to the failed Pilot, No one wants to see another actress play Elle Woods on screen.

Wow, I'm thrilled to hear about a "Legally Blonde" TV series! I mean, who doesn't love Elle Woods? She's like the ultimate girl power icon. Plus, the message of the movie is so empowering – it's all about hard work and self-discovery. I hope they stay true to the spirit of the original film and bring us something fresh and exciting.

Oh, I vaguely remember hearing about that failed TV pilot for "Legally Blonde." It's kind of wild to think about what could have been if it had taken off. I wonder why it didn't get picked up by any network back then. Maybe it just wasn't the right timing, or perhaps they couldn't capture the essence of the movie in the pilot. Either way, it's interesting to see how projects like that can end up in the archives of TV history.

Well, I've got mixed feelings about this. I mean, "Legally Blonde" is a classic, no doubt. Reese Witherspoon totally owned the role. But a TV series? Hmm, not sure if it's a good idea or if it'll live up to the movie's legacy. Sometimes spin-offs just mess things up, you know? What if they cast another actress to play Elle Woods. People wont like that

Legally Blonde as a TV series? Hmm, interesting. I mean, the movie was hilarious, but I wonder how they'll stretch that out into a whole show. Hopefully, they'll bring in some fresh ideas and not just rehash the same old jokes. But hey, with Reese Witherspoon involved, it's gotta be worth a shot, right?

I'm not too sure about turning "Legally Blonde" into a TV series. The movie was amazing, and Reese Witherspoon was perfect as Elle Woods. But making it into a show feels like they're stretching it too far.The movie was great on its own. It had everything - funny moments, romance, and a strong lead character who breaks stereotypes. Now they want to make it into a TV series, but I'm not sure if lightning can strike twice.

Remember those spinoffs that didn't do so well? Like that DVD about Elle's British twin cousins? It didn't work out. And that TV pilot from 2003 that never aired? It seems like they're trying too hard to keep the franchise going.I love Elle Woods, but sometimes Hollywood should just leave things as they are. "Legally Blonde" was special, and I'm not sure if a TV series can capture that magic. But who knows, maybe they'll surprise us.

You know what? I'm leaning towards a third movie instead. "Legally Blonde" is a classic, no doubt, and I'm all for more Elle Woods adventures. But here's the thing: TV shows have a habit of getting canceled, right? And I'd hate to invest time in a series only to have it pulled before we get the full story.

With a movie, though, you get that complete experience in one go. Plus, Reese Witherspoon as Elle on the big screen? That's a win-win. I'd rather have one awesome movie than risk being left hanging if the TV show doesn't make it.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for more Elle Woods, but I want to make sure we get the full package without the risk of it being cut short. So yeah, bring on "Legally Blonde 3"! Let's keep the magic alive on the silver screen.

Wow, can't believe they're still milking this franchise. I mean, "Legally Blonde" was cool and all, but do we really need more of it? Seems like Hollywood's running out of ideas.
