Following on from an announcement several months ago and a teaser trailer that released recently, more details have emerged about the upcoming Jurassic World Evolution. The development team have put out a new video that showcases several bits of gameplay as well as explaining how the parks will work.
The last game Jurassic Park sim to release on home consoles was the 2003 game Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis. This latest title from Frontier Development features many of the same elements as that game and according to new information from the studio, will share some gameplay mechanics. This includes having to find fossils to bioengineer dinosaur DNA and balancing the security, entertainment, and science elements of the park.
One of the major differences with Jurassic World Evolution is that you will be able to significantly expand your activities, being able to take your operation to a total of five islands, each with their own unique environments and resources. However, there will be some further similarities in that your parks will be hit with different disaster scenarios that will test your responses to problems that could have dire consequences.
