Jurassic World Crosses $1 Billion Dollars Grossed At International Box Office
How much a movie grosses at the box office is telling in numerous ways. If it does well to open, but doesn’t keep up the pace? Then it’s not quite the hit people expected. If people don’t go during the first weekend, but keep it steady in the numbers in the weeks afterward? That shows that it has positive word of mouth. Then of course if there’s a movie that blasts numerous box office records and continues to do so as long its theaters, and then breaks some more? Well that movie is legendary.
That is a term that most definitely describes Jurassic World. A movie that by all senses of the word shouldn’t have done as well as it did, shattered all expectations and records as it opened with a $500 million dollar opening weekend, and continued to do well after that.
Now, Universal has announced in a press release that over the weekend, it broke yet another milestone, Jurassic World has grossed $1 billion dollars at the international box office. To put that in perspective, only three movies have ever done that. Avatar, Titanic, and Furious 7. And remember, I said international box office, that doesn’t include the domestic totals. That puts it in a whole other category.
In lames terms? Dinosaurs rule the earth.
