One of the more interesting aspects of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow show is the fact that they’ll fully be embracing time travel, and be time-hopping through it’s run, which at this point is 16-episodes to start off.
What this means is that the almost literal vastness of the DC Universe from the comics is open to appearing in both the past and the future. According to Marc Guggenheim, that has not gone unnoticed, as fan-favorite character Jonah Hex will appear in Legends of Tomorrow when they go into the Wild West, where Jonah Hex is from.
“Ever since we decided that ‘Legends’ would involve time travel, we were eager to do a story set in the Old West,” executive producer Marc Guggenheim told Variety. “But if you’re going to do a story set in the DC Universe version of the Old West, you simply must include Jonah Hex in it. We’re thrilled about bringing another well known, beloved DC character to television.”
Jonah Hex has appeared on many animated series featuring DC heroes, and even had his own major motion picture. This will however be his first live-action television appearance however.
Legends of Tomorrow arrives on the CW January 21st.
