Jared D. Weiss Reveals…The Beakmann Incident

Animator Jared D. Weiss has so far brought us the award-winning short “Transmission,” “Hog And Fog,” “Frog Dog Log,” and as of today…The Beakmann Incident.

This one isn’t for the faint-hearted, but true crime stories rarely are. You’ll see a profile of the mysterious and unnerving Beakmann, his suspicious habits and his disturbing appearance. You’ll hear eyewitness accounts from those who were there and, ultimately, see raw footage of the heinous crime itself. Beakmann is currently serving time in the county jail.

This short features a voice cast spanning the globe, recorded in Busan, South Korea, Aarhus, Denmark, and Los Angeles, USA. It stars actors 장구성 (Guseong Jang), Lyuba Halacheva, Henry Bonsu, and Weiss himself.

If you enjoyed this short, Weiss has made several more, and they’re all on his Vimeo page. Weiss is also Storyboard Director on Lazor Wulf, the Adult swim show about “finding the inner strength to buy your own cereal, not dying, and the art of the scam.” According to Weiss, work just wrapped up on Season Two of the series and it should be premiering on the channel soon.
