Comic book publisher IDW will be holding several events this year at New York Comic-Con, which begins today and lasts through October 11. As with San Diego Comic-Con before it, this is a virtual event where all the panels are streamed online. Look for the following panels to appear at the con this week…
THE WORLD OF LOCKE AND KEY: Creator Joe Hill, artist Gabriel Rodriguez and editor Chris Ryall sit down to discuss the comic, the TV adaption and what they have planned hext. This one was scheduled for today and already happened…and because the fellas at NYCC are nicer than the people who arranged DC FanDome, you can watch the panel for free on YouTube.
SONIC THE HEDGEHOG COMICS: This panel gathers writer Ian Flynn, writer/artoist Evan Stanley, artist Jack Lawrence, editor David Marlotte and SEGA licensing manager Michael Cisneros together for a chat about the Blue Blur and all that has to do with him. Watch it on YouTube starting Friday, October 9 at 12:20 PM Eastern (9:20 AM Pacific).
There’s more…IDW typically sells issues of their comics with exclusive covers at NYCC, and they’re continuing the practice in the virtual version. This year, you don’t have to live in the New York area to get exclusive variants of Batman/The Maxx, Snake Eyes: Deadgame, Sonic the Hedgehog #33, Star Wars Adventures #1, Transfomers/Back To The Future and much more. Keep watching IDW’s convention webstore for more comics including exclusives yet to be revealed.
