Hunter X: code name T Launches Soon On Steam

Game developer Orange Popcorn has announced their new Metroidvania action title, Hunter X: code name T (the lower case is part of the official spelling), will launch on Steam in just a few days.

Hunter X: code name T is the sequel to HunterX, a similar title that was released last year. In that game you played as a young teenage devil hunter who ends up following her target through a crack in spacetime into another world — and has to battle a lot of monsters to get back out. The sequel stars a different character, but with the same occupation…but this time the monster world is even bigger, the number of weapons and items you can collect is even greater and the enemies are more ferocious than before.

The Night of the Purple Moon has returned. Facing the moonlight, the devil hunter Taiyo recalls a lost memory. To hunt devils… and to find himself… he embarks on a fateful adventure through a crack in the world.

  • Forge your own path and explore an ever-greater world that straddles the past and future!
Exciting stories of your comrades, bewildering riddles, and terrifying devils await you.
  • Collect a variety of weapons and shape your own action style!
Experience more sophisticated and stylish combat with weapon-specific actions, dodges, guards, parries, and counterattacks.
  • Defeat unique devils and bosses!
Collect over 190 different items to identify enemy weaknesses and attack strategically.

You’ll be able to find Hunter X: code name T on Steam this coming Monday, December 11. You can wishlist the game by heading to its official page.

This news is fantastic! I've been waiting for this sequel since I really enjoyed the first HunterX. The world's expansion and the variety of weapons available seem to be a significant step up. I'm excited to play Night of the Purple Moon once more. The addition of a new protagonist is an intriguing move, but I hope the game doesn't lose its allure like the first one did. It sounds fantastic to have more weapons and a larger monster world, but I hope the narrative is strong to support it.

I miss the good old days of straightforward games, but I'll give this one a shot. The Night of the Purple Moon has my attention. Let's hope it lives up to the hype and doesn't get lost in all these extra features. Looking forward to the good ol' monster hunting vibes.

It's intriguing that the Night of the Purple Moon is returning. I'm curious how that ties into the plot. Gathering 190 items to use as a strategic advantage against enemies appears to be my kind of challenge. At long last! I've been looking for a game that will help me improve. Tactical warfare and weapon-specific maneuvers? Include me in the hopes of receiving a genuine challenge from the bosses. See you on the leaderboards
