Hunt: Showdown Launches On Xbox One
Crytek’s online multiplayer bounty hunting game, Hunt: Showdown, is officially on sale for XBox. You’re a gun-toting hunter in nineteenth-century Louisiana, and you’re knee-deep in a swamp swarming with more than just alligators. Deadly monsters roam around these parts, and their hides fetch a pretty penny. But it’s not just them you have to watch out for — it’s every hunter for themselves, and the others have no qualms with eliminating the competition!
That’s why it’s better to play in teams of two or three, though you can brave Hunt: Showdown solo if you want. The Classic Mode is meant for teams, but the Quick Play mode is good for a match alone as everyone scavenges for a diminishing reward.
What do you get if you plug the game into an XBox One X? Better textures, improved shadows, a higher quality water shader, and a resolution of 1800p, which isn’t exactly 4K, but better than 1080p.
“The team has really put their heart and soul into this game,” said Hunt Producer Fatih Özbayram. “We wanted to make an experience that was tense, atmospheric, and, above all, fun. We can’t wait to see what the Xbox community thinks!”
Not only is Hunt: Showdown officially out, but so is its first DLC pack — “Legends of the Bayou.” It gives you two additional Legendary Hunter characters to play as, two unique weapons, and other bonuses. You can buy both Hunt: Showdown and Legends of the Bayou together for $44.99, or just the base game for $39.99. The DLC costs $10 by itself.
