Dark being are coming to Hearthstone, from the depths of Azeroth lore. Blizzard Entertainment has announced the next expansion for Hearthstone, which is called Whispers of the Old Gods. The new expansion was confirmed during the kickoff of Hearthstone’s Americas Winter Championship tournament.
Blizzard confirmed that the expansion will feature 134 new cards for the game. The expansion is themed around the Old Gods, who are evil Eldritch of the Warcraft mythos who have incredible power. This looks like it will be a fun expansion for H.P. Lovecraft readers and fanatics.
The new expansion is expected to launch later this Spring by late April or early May. It will be available for Windows, Mac, iOS and Android devices. Card packs will also be available through the in-game Shop for either gold or real money at the same price as previous Hearthstone card packs. There should be a new update patch to prepare for the expansion, which will be available on Monday, March 14. This will include the new deck recipes feature.
