Heads Of Rock Band 4 Have Resigned

Late last year saw what appeared to be the return of the plastic instrument genre, as both Rock Band and Guitar Hero made returns to modern console for the first time in many years. If you recall, those two titles were at one time some of the best selling games on the market, then, oversaturation made them less beloved, until everyone was throwing away their controllers.

Despite a return, it appears that all is not well in that world, as the publisher for Rock Band 4, Mad Katz, has announced that Chairman Thomas Brown, President and CEO Darren Richardson, and Senior VP Whitney Peterson have resigned from the company. This is ahead of a scheduled earnings call that is scheduled to take place tomorrow.

“Looking ahead, we are confident that we have a talented leadership team in place that will enable us to steer the Company on a steady course in its operations and financial performance as we look to grow our business and reward our shareholders,” Karen McGinnis said in a statement.

Not surprisingly, after the announcement was made, stock for the company on the New York Stock Exchange plummeted, and it’s unclear where the earnings call tomorrow is to blame for all the events that are taking place.
