Gwent: New Crimson Curse Gameplay Trailer

Gwent, the card game that sprung out of The Witcher into its own series, is getting an expansion later this month. Crimson Curse is the name of a new DLC pack that will introduce vampires, and everything that has to do with them, into the game.

Over 100 cards will be added to Gwent in this expansion, across all playable factions. Crimson Curse adds the Poison and Bleeding attacks, the Shield and Vitality defense moves, and the Deathblow and Berserk gameplay mechanics. Each card will come in both standard and animated variants, with the moving version being premium.

How do all these new cards alter gameplay strategies? Find out in CDPR’s new Crimson Curse gameplay trailer.

CDPR announced today that preorders for Crimson Curse are now open. From now until the release date, you can buy the Preorder Pack which includes the legendary Blood Armor leader skin for Unseen Elder, Crimson Curse-themed cardback, and 40 Crimson Curse Kegs, which each keg containing 5 cards exclusively from the expansion.

The star of Crimson Curse is vampire Dettlaff van der Eretein, first introduced in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Blood and Wine. He’s summoned his loyal minions to the battlefield, and you’ll be fighting against them or with them (depending on your preference).

Watch for Crimson Curse to invade Gwent on March 28, 2019. The expansion will be available for all versions of Gwent, on Playstation 4, XBox One and PC.
