GTA Online Getting Freemode Events
GTA Online is getting a big update on September 15th across all versions. Because a new event mode is being added to the gameplay, Freemode Events.
Rockstart announced Freemode Events via a press release, and stated that the intent was to blend gameplay with timed elements that will offer some pretty cool rewards to those who participate.
In nearly every 12 minutes in the open world, a new Freemode Event will start, with a countdown clock on the HUD alerting players how much longer they have until it starts. If you miss the start or opt not to participate, you’ll still be able to watch and check out those who chose to get involved.
There will be over 200 variants of Freemode Events will be available at launch, including cooperative battles, individual live stunt challenges, free-for-all King of the Hill modes, and challenges tasking you to break speed limits and deal as much damage as possible within a time limit. Successfully completing any of them will net players huge cash and RP rewards, which grow based on how well you performed.
It should be noted that this update coincides with the release of the Rockstar Editor on Consoles. No doubt there will be many videos taken of this Freemode Events.
