Goliath in Development for PS4 and Xbox One
Badland Games officially announced a partnership with Alawar Premium and Octopus Tree to bring the sandbox action-adventure game Goliath to consoles. The game will receive a release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One later on.
Goliath is set in a bizarre world. The player steps through a mysterious rift and finds a new world with jumbled fragments from dead civilizations and technological marvels of the future. Factions are battling across this world but live in fear of giant monsters that roam the land. The player however can build new goliaths and craft new giant robots to battle these monsters.
Players have to explore the world to find materials, blueprints, and crafting tools to build the giant robots. Each robot can be customized and built with a variety of new weapons and add-ons that can grant newa bilities and make every piece of combat unique. The game also features a variety of environments, including rolling prairies, dense forests, eerie swamps, and frozen tundras of a procedurally-generated open world. Other features of the game are quests, dynamic weather, and a realistic day/night cycle. Each area is has wild monsters and other dangers that players must face to survive.
Goliath is due out later this year. It’s slated for a third quarter 2017 release for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
