Microsoft and developers of The Coalition released a new gameplay video showing the first 20 minutes of Gears of War 4, which is right around the corner. You can check out the video featuring new footage in the player below.
The video features The Coalition developers Rod Fergusson and Matt Searcy presenting the opening prologue for Gears of War 4 and about the first 20 minutes from the new sequel. The scenario offers some insight into the long unexplored Pendulum Wars. It also puts players right into the very opening of Emergence Day before going into the war with the Locust Horde. It’s interesting to see periods previously unexplored by the game. It also sets up the world of Sera 25 years after the events of Gears of War 4.
Unfortunately, the video doesn’t provide any insight on the mystery behind the new threat to humanity in the Swarm. Also, the fate of J.D. Fenix’s mother, Anya Stroud, is still unrevealed.
Gears of War 4 arrives on October 11. The game will be available on Xbox One and Windows 10 PC as an Xbox Play Anywhere title. Gamers who get the Gears of War 4: Ultimate Edition early will also be able to play the game four days early on October 7.
