Ian figures out that the stone Daigo received from his father is one of thirteen fragments of a Guardians Zyudenryu that make up the key to accessing the tenth Zyudenryu Bragigas. Amy realizes that an acquaintance of hers, Mitsuhiko, has another one of the stones, and on his birthday he decides to give it away in a contest that the Kyoryugers and the Deboss Legion take part in.

Wait I thought Ulshade made the batteries for the "non zord" beasts. Otherwise how did Ramiez and Tessai use them as weapons or even use Dinochaser before motorcycles existed or the Kentospiker before Ulshade made the weapon that get put together for it?

I'm pretty sure that they always existed, but the Spirit Rangers had no good/safe way to channel their powers. Didn't they say in Grey's debut episodes that even just using the transformation batteries without the GabuRevoler was incredibly dangerous?

Given what we've seen when Kentrospiker and Deinosgrander were used improperly, I imagine all the Guardian's batteries acted in a similar fashion before Ulshade created the equipment to use them correctly, and that Tessai and Ramirez simply didn't want to risk the Guardian batteries harming them. I mean can you imagine an uncontrolled Ovirappoo?

Pretty good episode! Very fun. Couldn't really tell if it was a Souji or Amy episode though. Still, really awesome, makes me like Souji even more. Lots of plot heavy episodes lately, so this was a good break!

here's the thing you might've forgotten: the Guardians were lesser Jyudenryu who supported the Great Ten, meaning they were unable to take part in Kamistuki Gattai or form mechs of their own, but being Jyudenryu they still had Jyudenchi to power them. This is why Deinos and Chase, the only two remaining Guardian Jyudenryu (due to being part of two tribes), and the ones who form the Deinochasers, are so much smaller than the others

it's the whole thing about what's going on right now: the Kyoryugers are seeking out the fossilized remains of the Guardians
