And about that guy; while the translations aren't good, one can admit that he really puts his heart in those subs and I appreciate a lot the fact that he puts effort in his fansub project ; I feel that people who are involved in fansub groups, instead of mocking his work, rather should talk to him and suggest to help him improve his work, like correcting his translations mistakes.

It's not really a fansub project. Not in the sense that it's something that can help people Truly understand what is happening in those shows. It's not a simple matter of making a few corrections. His entire sub is flawed. It would require some one resubbing everything about those shows to make it close enough for it to be a real fansub. At most this is a glorified HK as it stands.

It is licensed here. KR Decade is on TV every Sunday. I'm not sure which (if any) Sentai is currently airing here, but I'm preeeeetty sure it has aired to some extent. And Malaysia is one of the countries where the Akibaranger YouTube channel is available.

I honestly can't admit that. I don't think he's put a whole lot of time or effort into his YouTube uploads. The timing is pretty sloppy and he's typesetting with Comic MS Sans, for pity's sake. He's clearly just doing it because he wants more stuff up on his channel, and he ran out of the Hurri and Aba eps other groups have done. If a completed sub of Hurri or Aba somehow materialized tomorrow, I'm sure he'd just upload eps of that instead of continuing his own work.

1) I don't see how anyone is mocking him? People have said, "Hey, this thing that looks like an HK clean-up is probably an HK clean-up. And if it's not an HK clean-up, the quality isn't any better than you'd expect of an HK or guess sub."
2) Why is the fansub community obligated to help this dude? People who are interested in subbing Hurri and Aba are already doing it themselves. They're doing it a bit slowly, for various reasons, but... y'know, what if they don't wanna work with YouTube guy?
3) For that matter, what if YouTube guy isn't interested in going back and redoing stuff he's already uploaded? If he decides he's okay with these releases, then any attempt to "fix" them would be futile.
4) These releases are probably beyond fixing. Once a translation is at a certain level of... being compromised, let's say, it actually takes longer to have a TL correct it than it would for that TL to produce an original translation of the same episode. And that circles back to the "people who want to do Aba and Hurri are already doing it" issue.

Actually, "Kamen Rider Decade" is airs on Saturday, not Sunday. Same with the time slot at TV2 where "Power Rangers" series and "Super Sentai" Series being shared (Right now it is airing "Samurai Sentai Shinkenger" until Saban finished the airing of "Power Rangers Megaforce" in the US).

Lynx; I'm the first to say that his work isn't good, and in fact, I feel that if he wants more Hurri and Aba in his channel, he should upload the existing HK subs, because they're more accurate; however, it's exactly as you say: IF a completed sub existed; which isn't the case right now. he's doing bad work but at least, he's doing something. And about the bad quality; I guess that when you do stuff alone and start "subbing", you can't do a work as good as when you work in a group and have been involved in sub groups for years.
About your 4 points :
1) see above
2) he's a guy who's putting some effort into doing stuff; I'm sure he has some good will, and if the reason subs takes time is a lack of time and work force, he might help sub groups ;
3) you won't know until you've asked him
4) even if you have to completely replace the translations, it doesn't mean he's useless at doing other stuff

Anyway, of course, it's only an opinion, and I don't want to be mean to anybody

Well, I dunno. Working alone can explain being slow, but I don't think it explains the sort of stuff this guy is doing? I mean, Pal pretty much did Black alone, and that release is way out of the YouTube guy's league. I think Black was also Pal's first release, too.

I guess I'm saying that I don't think this guy not knowing any better is likely to be part of the problem. He most likely knows better and just doesn't care. The last thing the fansubbing scene needs is more people who don't care running around.

I'd sooner ask you to try learning how to do timing or typesetting or something for a group, live jetabare. You clearly care about getting more stuff done, and I am not exaggerating when I say that basically anybody can learn how to use Aegisub. PM me if you're interested.
